Cafe Affenbrot in Lubeck

We had a cherry cheese cake. It was incredibly delicious and the staff were also very friendly :)

I expected more from a vegetarian café (e.g. homemade spreads, more interesting cheeses or cream cheese for breakfast) the rolls were also quite small, but tasted good. Ambience is not for everyone and the service was not particularly attentive. In addition, a large breakfast offer is advertised on the website for the first Sunday of the month, which, however, was not available. I was missing that certain something in the offer.

Delicious food at moderate prices, child-friendly, cozy, decelerating.

The chai latte was terrible, unfortunately. The smell was great but the taste was absolutely bad. Tasted more like hot water than anything else. The rolls were also dry and tasted like yesterday or the day before yesterday. The plate with the cheese and the jam, however, was nicely presented and delicious.

It's a shame that they apparently don't have any staff, you had to sit for over an hour on a Sunday and wait until the only waiter that day said he could serve the inside or take the order. And then get annoyed because you complain about it. I didn't find it very organized and not customer oriented at all.

I was there for breakfast today. Very tasty definitely recommendable. But not the service. There was a little one running around there, very nice, pleasant laugh you have to laugh along immediately. So sweet and personable. The woman she worked with was very arrogant and let the sweet one go. Not understandable from my point of view and the lady was super unfriendly. Only come when the woman is no longer working.

Organic or vegan food. We were there for breakfast. The rolls were quite small. The ambience is not that great, seems quite cool. Prices were okay.

Vegetarian and vegan eatery with a large terrace. They’re child friendly and the staff is lovely. Also great food, especially the Grünkernbratlinge.

Café Affenbrot was really an unexpectedly great experience. We were only in Lübeck for a week and after we went to the monkey sandwich for the first time only by chance. On our second visit, it was our goal to get there. The food was excellent on both occasions. Super nice arranged. Very tasty and served with an enthusiastic friendliness. Great.

Went here for both breakfast and dinner. Generous portions, nice staff, good food and cozy environment. Several vegan options.

Vegetarian food is offered at this place. I was a visitor just once but I didn't like the taste and the price was way too high for the quantity and quality. The sweets looked delicious but were not fulfilling my sweet tooth. I had the impression they saved on sugar.

The staff were friendly and spoke English. The food has great and good portion sizes. We'll go there again.

Local restaurant and cafe with good options for vegans or whole foodists. Fresher and prepared with more care than chain restaurants. Come prepared to chill, service can be quite slow but that isn't a real problem since it is a nice place to hang out, quieter than most places and comfortable for conversation.

Delicious breakfast, which you can also put together individually :-) Carefully selected ingredients and lovingly prepared. It takes a while until the bread rolls arrive, but they are still warm for that :-) Pleasant atmosphere!

Nice place, delicious organic vegetarian food. Been there twice, both times for dinner. There are marvelous salads, veggie burgers and other things. Also I am determined to try the cakes one day, they look really tasty, but after dinner I was just fill.

Really nice vegetarian Restaurant! They offer a great variety of vegetarian food on their menu. They also have really nice drinks like different fruit juice spritzer! The staff is really friendly, but sometimes the orders take a bit too long till you can finally enjoy the great food! The nice outdoor area with sunny as well as shady places makes up for the waiting time, though. The atmosphere is really relaxed and it is a nice place to enjoy some great food!
